    Thank you for this very useful article! The formula works perfectly on my Excel 2011.

    However, to make it work on Excel 2016, I had to change commas to semicolons:

    =CHAR(RANDBETWEEN(65;90))&CHAR(RANDBETWEEN(97;122))&CHAR(RANDBETWEEN(97;122))&CHAR(RANDBETWEEN(65;90))&RANDBETWEEN(1000;9999)&CHAR(RANDBETWEEN(42;43))
